Job Description
Role Overview
The Project Assistant Officer - Component III (Frontend Developer) is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of user interfaces for the Accreditation Information Management System (AIMS) across both web and mobile platforms. This role involves translating technical requirements and user stories into intuitive, responsive, and brand-compliant interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
UI Development: Develop and maintain user interfaces for the AIMS web-based and mobile applications.
Design Translation: Participate in requirements gathering and translate system requirements and user stories into functional user interface designs that adhere to branding guidelines.
Optimization: Ensure system usability, accessibility, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers; conduct frontend testing, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
Collaboration & Testing: Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT); participate in change management and version control for frontend components.
Documentation: Provide comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals, technical manuals, and interface guides.
Support: Offer user support during system rollout, training, and deployment.
Data Visualization: Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualization components to enhance system utility.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor and improve system user experience based on feedback and participate in the rollout of system updates and releases.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an ICT-related field.
Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in ICT, frontend development, or web application development.
Certifications: Additional training or certification in web design, UI/UX, frontend frameworks, databases, or cybersecurity is an added advantage.
Performance: Demonstrated results in work performance and proficiency in Computer applications.
Constitutional Compliance: Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
