Job Description
The Digital Health Agency (DHA) is a government body dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery through the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies. Our mission is to enhance healthcare accessibility, improve patient outcomes, and ensure data security by developing and maintaining a comprehensive digital health ecosystem across Kenya. The Senior Records Management Officer is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of the agency's records, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and spearheading the modernization of record-keeping through automation. This role involves developing protocols for the creation, storage, retrieval, and disposal of official documentation to support efficient agency operations.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing records management manuals.
Identifying and recommending records for disposal in line with the Records Retention and Disposal Act and other relevant laws.
Coordinating the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive records management systems.
Storing, preserving, and retrieving the agency’s official records.
Coordinating the identification and communication of potential risks to records security and integrity.
Automating the agency’s records management system in liaison with relevant functional areas.
Preparing periodic reports and work schedules for the department.
Requirements and Qualifications
A cumulative period of six (6) years of relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years served in the grade of Records Management Officer I or in a comparable position.
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Information Science and Records Management, Records and Information Management, Library and Information Sciences, Information Studies, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Membership of the Kenya Association of Records Managers and Archivists (KARMA).
Proficiency in computer applications.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Required Compliance Certificates
Applicants must provide the following documentation:
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
Certificate of compliance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Current Self-Declaration form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Certificate from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
