Job Description
The Senior Program Officer will assist the Director of the County Youth Service and Women Empowerment Programme (CYSWEP) and will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to ensure the successful implementation of program mandates. The role involves managing administrative committees, logistical operations, and monitoring program efficacy to support the county's youth and women empowerment goals.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination: Oversee programs within the Service to ensure they are implemented successfully and meet defined objectives.
Leadership of Boards and Committees: Serve as the Chairperson for the Service Promotion Board, the Service Tender Committee, and the Service Discipline Committee.
Operations and Logistics: Manage transport operations and service logistics to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Direct the monitoring and evaluation of Service activities to track progress and impact.
Co-curricular and Sports Oversight: Oversee Service sports and other co-curricular activities.
Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency responses as required within the Service mandate.
Other Duties: Perform any other assigned duties as directed by the Director from time to time.
Requirements
Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution OR a Diploma in management, administration, or a relevant qualification from a recognized institution in Kenya.
Technical Proficiency: A Certificate in Computer Applications is mandatory.
Work Experience:
For Bachelor's Degree holders: At least five (5) years of proven work experience.
For Diploma holders: At least five (5) years of proven work experience in a similar role.
Additional Information
During interviews, shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original National Identity Card and Academic Certificates.
