Senior Manager - Central Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

Key Responsibilities

Freight & Logistics Management

• Negotiate competitive freight rates across various modes including air, ocean, parcel, and domestic transport.
• Manage carrier contracts to ensure cost efficiency and service reliability.
• Monitor freight markets and resolve shipment delays proactively.

Market Intelligence & Forecasting

• Track global commodity markets such as edible oils, raw materials, and plastics, including price trends and risk factors.
• Prepare dashboards and provide short- and long-term market forecasts for management.

Strategic Procurement

• Identify optimal buying windows and recommend cost-effective purchasing strategies.
• Explore bulk/forward contracts and global sourcing options to reduce cost and ensure supply continuity.

Supplier & Risk Management

• Develop and manage international supplier networks.
• Negotiate commercial terms and consolidate volumes for better leverage.
• Assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation or hedging strategies while ensuring policy compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Agriculture, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in freight management, procurement, trading, commodity analysis, or sourcing.
• Strong experience in inbound and outbound logistics, including LCL, FCL, ocean, air, and parcel.
• Significant experience in the edible oil sector (CPO, olein, stearine, PFAD, etc.), specifically in trading or procurement.
