The Role
We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to lead the technical design of renewable energy solutions. The role involves overseeing the detailed design of Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Solar water pumping systems, particularly for tender submissions. You will be responsible for optimizing system performance, conducting simulations, and preparing high-quality technical proposals for international clients and agencies.
Responsibilities
Lead the detail design of Solar PV, BESS, and Solar water pumping systems for tender submission.
Conduct performance simulations and yield analysis using industry-standard software (PV systems, PV Sol, HomerPro).
Undertake or contribute to feasibility studies, engineering design, and Energy yield assessment.
Prepare, review, and compile high-quality technical proposals, bid documents, and client requirements.
Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND in Engineering or a relevant field.
Experience: 3-5 years in solar engineering with a proven track record in developing technical proposals for bids.
Certification: Valid EPRA T3 certification.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of app modules, Inverters, BESS components, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
Bidding Experience: Experience in responding to International RFPs/tenders (World Bank, UN agencies, etc.).
