Role Overview
The Senior Assistant Director Supply Chain Management is a senior leadership position within the Isiolo County Government. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing the county's supply chain management services, ensuring compliance with relevant procurement laws, regulations, and guidelines, while driving efficiency and integrity in public procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Formulating, implementing, and reviewing supply chain management policies, plans, and procedures.
Coordinating procurement of goods, works, and services in compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act.
Providing professional advice on all procurement and supply chain management matters to the county leadership.
Overseeing the preparation and implementation of the county's annual procurement plans.
Managing the inventory, warehousing, and asset disposal processes.
Ensuring transparency, accountability, and value for money in all procurement activities.
Mentoring, guiding, and supervising junior supply chain management personnel.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
Served in the Grade of Assistant Director Supply Chain Management Services or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Bachelors Degree in Procurement and Supply Management from a recognized institution.
Masters Degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any other relevant field from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
Registered with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
