The Senior Accountant/Finance is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data and accurate reporting. This role involves managing Management Information Systems (MIS) reporting, accounts receivable/payable, inventory valuation, and ensuring strict compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial closing processes and be proficient in multiple languages relevant to the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Manage MIS reporting including Profit & Loss (P&L), variance analysis, and cash flow statements.
Ledger Management: Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management including regular reconciliations.
Inventory Management: Responsible for inventory/stock accounting and accurate valuation.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with VAT, WHT, and all other statutory filings.
Closings: Manage the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: MBA in Finance.
Professional Certifications: Fully qualified CPA, ACCA, CA, or Inter CA.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Industry Background: Previous experience in trading, logistics, petroleum, or FMCG sectors is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MIS, financial reporting, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Swahili is required. Knowledge of Hindi, Gujarati, or Punjabi is an added advantage.
Other Requirements: Open to Kenyan citizens and non-Kenyan passport holders with permanent residency status.
