This role involves developing and maintaining a robust security policy, and implementing programs to protect company assets (inventory, movable and immovable property), operations, and information against internal and external threats, including malicious practices, crime, and potential labour unrest.
Principal Accountabilities
- Prepare and regularly update security policies, plans, and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities/exposures, and consequent risks to company assets and operations.
- Develop human, material, and procedural security protection measures.
- Ensure safety training for staff is conducted regularly.
- Manage, collaborate with, and monitor the contracted security team.
- Uphold regulatory compliance within the organization.
- Manage overall security affairs and act as the key contact person for security-related matters, including breaches.
- Provide detailed reports on security activities and incidents that have occurred to management.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Professional Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- At least a Diploma in a security-related field.
- Possess professional accreditation.
- Demonstrated keen eye for detail and excellent knowledge of security protocols.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations.
