Strathmore School is looking for an experienced and passionate Sports Teacher to join its team. The successful candidate will deliver sports-related learning within the CBE curriculum, coach school teams, and play a central role in the school's wider sports programme.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver curricular activities in sports-related learning areas within the CBE curriculum.
Coach school teams in at least two sports.
Support the Sports Department in delivering the school's overall sports programme.
Oversee and coordinate the training and participation of school teams in internal and external competitions.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of C+ at O-Level (KCSE or equivalent).
A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Education with Sports as a teaching subject.
At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated high-level coaching experience in at least two sports.
Valid TSC (Teachers Service Commission) registration.
Certificate of good conduct.
Essential Coaching Specializations
Basketball, Rugby, Hockey, or Football; coaching qualifications in any of these will be a strong advantage.
Added Advantage
Experience coaching at both primary and secondary school level.
Experience preparing candidates for KPSEA and KJSEA in sports-related learning areas.
