The role of the Sales Assistant is to promote and sell a range of quality construction materials. You will be responsible for building professional relationships with contractors and construction professionals while diligently working toward achieving sales targets in your designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
Actively prospect and develop new customers in the construction sectors.
Conduct site visits to contractors, builders, and construction companies.
Present and demonstrate our construction products.
Provide technical advice and product recommendations to clients.
Prepare and deliver sales quotations and proposals.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Maintain and grow professional relationships with existing customers.
Conduct market research and provide feedback on customer needs and competitor activities.
Process orders and coordinate with the warehouse for timely delivery.
Attend site meetings and project discussions with clients.
Provide after-sales support and address customer concerns.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM system.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field (BA/BSc/HND, Diploma).
Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience (construction, steel, roofing, or building materials industry preferred).
Knowledge: Knowledge of roofing systems or construction materials is an advantage.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and possession of a valid driver's license.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software; ability to understand technical product specifications.
