Successful candidates will be responsible for driving international revenue growth by identifying global market opportunities and managing high-stakes relationships with international retailers and distributors. This role focuses on the fresh produce export market, specifically targeting European and Middle Eastern regions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and profitability through pricing strategies and cost management.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in export markets (Europe and Middle East).
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
Operations & Compliance: Manage export documentation, regulatory compliance, and trade requirements; coordinate with logistics partners to ensure efficient export operations.
Network Management: Develop and manage a strong international distribution network and negotiate international contracts, pricing, and supply agreements.
Market Presence: Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and market visits.
Customer Retention: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, handle escalated issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team, setting performance targets and providing necessary coaching and training.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Agribusiness, International Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience specifically in fresh produce export.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of European or Middle East buyer behavior and international market exposure.
Skills: Strong commercial, business development, and export trade knowledge.
Certifications: Professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or Export Trade is an added advantage.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
