The Revenue Assistant role is crucial for managing pricing, optimization, and performance monitoring across accommodation listings on various Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and VRBO. The core objective is to ensure occupancy goals and revenue targets are consistently met and maximized.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Revenue Management
- Set daily/weekly/monthly prices based on demand, seasonality, market trends, and competitor benchmarking.
- Implement dynamic pricing strategies across all units.
- Adjust minimum stays, restrictions, and promotions (e.g., Genius, last-minute, early-bird discounts, custom promotions).
- Manage occupancy goals and revenue targets on all our booking platforms.
Optimization (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, etc.)
Improve listing ranking by optimizing:
- Titles, descriptions, photos
- Amenities
- Policies
- Review responses
- Ensure availability calendars are perfectly synced.
Performance Monitoring & Competitor Market Analysis
- Track and report:
- Impressions
- Click-through rate (CTR)
- Conversion rate
- Booking trends
- Revenue per listing (RevPAR)
- Occupancy percentages
- Identify listings performing poorly and provide solutions.
- Monitor competitor rates in real time.
- Analyze local occupancy trends and events (holidays, conferences, seasons).
- Conduct monthly benchmarking reports.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work with the reservations team to adjust prices based on demand patterns.
- Make recommendations to management on portfolio improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in revenue management, OTA management, or hotel reservations.
- Background in Data analysis/operation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Airbnb & Booking.com analytics (impressions, ranking, pricing algorithms).
- Knowledge of dynamic pricing tools will be an added plus (PriceLabs, Beyond Pricing, etc.).
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
