Job Description
The Busara Center for Behavioral Economics is an advisory and research organization focused on the evaluation and implementation of behavioral interventions in understudied countries and populations. Busara's mission is to work with researchers and organizations to advance and apply behavioral science in pursuit of poverty alleviation.
About the Role
Interns will work closely with Project leads in completing research and advisory tasks. This internship provides hands-on experience in using behavioral science to alleviate global poverty, involving qualitative and quantitative research, data management, and project execution.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Support the design and development of research and advisory projects focused on using behavioral science to alleviate global poverty.
Implement qualitative and quantitative behavioral research.
Develop and pilot research instruments.
Support the management of large-scale field and lab projects with leading academics and institutions.
Organize, clean, and analyze research data.
Support the dissemination of results, prepare project reports, and present findings.
Engage in internal projects as needed.
Perform any other duty as assigned by the project supervisor.
Requirements:
Students in their final semester of Master’s or Undergraduate programs.
Academic background in a wide range of disciplines including Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Statistics, Marketing, or related fields.
A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or related fields.
High level of self-motivation and energy, with an optimistic “can-do” attitude.
Strong interest in qualitative and quantitative research or data analytic skills.
Flexible, self-motivating, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while being a team player.
Interest and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interest in behavioral science.
