CIC Insurance Group Limited, an insurance and investment group operating in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Malawi, is seeking a Relationship Manager. Reporting to the Director, Branch & Distribution, the Relationship Manager will be responsible for generating revenues by effectively marketing, building, and maintaining relationships in Tier 2 & Tier 3 banks.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery Management
Establishing and maintaining bank relationships and generating revenues through them.
Ensuring timely service delivery to clients through liaison with various internal departments.
Achieving a monthly renewal target of 85%.
Ensuring compliance with the credit control policy through effective debt collection.
Providing timely and accurate quotations within the set turnaround times.
Training and mentoring Bancassurance officers and bank intermediaries on products.
Attending to customer queries and complaints.
Ensuring all partners have current executed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Preparing revenue and expense budgets and analysis reports on production, growth trends, and retention.
Coordinating and implementing regional activities to enhance collaboration between CIC Group and partners.
Gathering market intelligence to help develop, improve, and tailor-make products and services.
Promoting the CIC brand and updating intermediaries on company processes and procedures.
Staff Management
Attracting, retaining, and mentoring the talent base of Bancassurance relationship officers.
Conducting performance appraisals for the team.
Championing continuous improvement and ensuring the team has functional tools for their duties.
Audit, Compliance and Risk Management
Strict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, and internal processes as per relevant manuals.
Contributing to the department attaining a “good” rating in internal and external audits by performing roles to required standards.
Addressing and escalating risk management requirements within the remit through defined channels.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
3 to 4 years of relevant experience in insurance or relationship management.
