Job Description
The Nakuru County Government is seeking a Radiographer I to provide essential medical imaging services within its health facilities. This role involves performing diagnostic procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the safety and maintenance of medical equipment to provide high-quality healthcare services to the community.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical imaging services at sub-county or referral hospitals.
Process, verify, and maintain accurate information and documentation related to patients.
Offer professional care and counseling to patients and their relatives before, during, and after radiographic examinations.
Ensure the safeguarding, basic maintenance, and safety of medical imaging equipment within the hospital environment.
Establish and maintain departmental Quality Assurance Programs to ensure service excellence.
Coordinate the procurement and safe storage of departmental supplies of radiographic materials.
Prepare and submit detailed reports on radiography activities and department performance.
Requirements
A Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Radiography, Radiography (Diagnostic), Radiography Technology, or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A Certificate in Computer Application Skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle patient care with sensitivity.
Knowledge of medical imaging safety protocols and quality control standards.
