Information about the Role
The Program / Delivery Director is an Associate Director-level role accountable for the hands-on leadership and commercial management of KPMG Technology & Innovation's (T&I) largest, most complex multi-country delivery engagements across Africa. This role is strategic in preventing margin leakage as deal volumes grow, ensuring that large-scale technology transformation programmes are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and at the quality standard required to sustain client relationships and KPMG's reputation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Outcome Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of delivery outcomes for engagements valued at USD 5M or more.
Programme Governance: Work in close partnership with Domain Leads, Architecture Leads, and PMO teams to maintain programme health.
Commercial Management: Oversee the financial management of programmes, including tracking and managing programme P&L to ensure profitability.
Transformation Delivery: Lead large-scale technology transformation programmes (including ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital) across various African markets.
Partner Management: Manage delivery teams from alliance partners such as Microsoft, ServiceNow, SAP, and Oracle within a formal programme structure.
Quality Standards: Ensure all projects are delivered at the high standard required to maintain the firm's reputation.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Education: A relevant university degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Certification: Mandatory certification in programme management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or MSP).
Professional Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in technology programme delivery.
Specialized Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing programmes valued at USD 5M+ in a consulting or systems integration context.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes (ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, digital) across multiple African markets.
Partner Experience: Experience managing teams from major alliance partners like Microsoft, ServiceNow, SAP, or Oracle.
Financial Acumen: Strong capability in financial management with experience in project-based P&L management.
