Job Description
The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement function by sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating suppliers, while ensuring proper documentation and compliance. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient procurement processes across projects, particularly for IT hardware, CCTV equipment, and related services.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Evaluation: Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for IT hardware, CCTV equipment, and related services.
Quotation Analysis: Request, review, and analyze quotations; prepare comparison sheets for decision-making.
Order Management: Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up on confirmations.
Records Maintenance: Maintain and update supplier records, contracts, and pricing databases.
Logistics Coordination: Track shipments and coordinate deliveries to project sites.
Documentation Support: Assist with import documentation and delivery processes.
File Management: Organize and maintain procurement files and records systematically.
Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with project, technical, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in an IT or technical environment.
Professional Certification: Certification in procurement such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or equivalent is an advantage.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with IT and technical equipment related to CCTV, access control, and similar systems is preferred.
Project Experience: Experience in project-based procurement management is an added advantage.
