The overall purpose of this role is to support the sales process through presales activities while contributing to direct sales efforts. This position involves preparing technical and commercial proposals, responding to tenders, conducting market research, and assisting the sales team in delivering product demonstrations, attending client meetings, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate local and international client requirements into customized solutions while generating revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Closure Support: Work closely with the Sales team to ensure the successful closure of the sales process.
Proposal & Costing: Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals that accurately meet client requirements.
Tender Management: Manage the sales bid process by responding to RFIs & RFPs and overseeing tender submissions.
Technical Documentation: Carry out tender responses, answering and expanding on functional and technical requirements within complex tender documents.
Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends and the competitor landscape by researching and maintaining a thorough understanding of company products versus competitor strengths and weaknesses.
Sales Documentation: Assist the sales team in qualifying potential clients and ensure all sales documentation and collateral are kept up to date and relevant.
Revenue Generation: Generate revenue by assisting in closing sales and achieving set KPIs.
Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to drive business growth.
Client Engagement: Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations, tailoring quotations to align with client needs.
Lead Generation: Proactively seek new sales opportunities by conducting market analysis and developing relationships with prospective clients.
Reporting: Provide timely and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management.
Requirements and Competencies
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from any major is preferable.
Experience: At least 2 years' working experience, with an advantage if you have sales experience in the software industry.
B2B Expertise: A good understanding of B2B sales cycles and the Tender Management Process.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in preparing and analyzing complex technical specifications and bids; hands-on experience working with Microsoft Office.
Communication: Excellent English communication and negotiation skills in both written and spoken forms.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Travel: A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
