Job Description
SilverPalm Spa and Resort, a 4-star boutique hotel located on the private Bofa Beach in Kilifi, is looking for experienced Pastry Cooks to join its culinary team. The resort is known for its scenic, quiet surroundings and Swahili-inspired architecture, and we require professionals who can maintain our high standards of luxury service.
Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, and other desserts.
Ensure all confectionery products meet the resort's quality and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the pastry section in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels for pastry ingredients and report shortages.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to enhance the dining experience for guests.
Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in pastry and confectionery.
Education: Diploma or higher qualification in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field.
Proven expertise in baking and dessert preparation within a high-end hospitality environment.
