Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that prioritizes people, supporting coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life, and build lasting pathways to prosperity. The organization partners with traditional fishers and community organizations across a dozen countries to design, scale, strengthen, and sustain community-level fisheries management and conservation.
The Partner Network team is central to Blue Ventures’ strategy, focusing on scoping, selection, relationship building, and ongoing stewardship of civil society and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) globally. This involves providing funding and technical assistance to catalyze and expand community-based fisheries management and locally managed marine areas.
The Partnership Coordinator, reporting to the Head of Partnerships East Africa, will be based in Tanzania and plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission by expanding its influence through effective relationship building with local civil society and NGO partners.
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas:
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Tanzania, requiring regular travel to work closely with partners, colleagues, and communities, including to remote locations dependent on weather and tides. Flexibility and adaptability across multiple time zones are essential for success.
