Part-Time Lecturers - Engineering and Applied Technology

Role Purpose

The Part-Time Lecturer will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and academic support via digital and online platforms. The focus is on delivering technical curricula in engineering and technology while managing digital content and facilitating a robust online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver academic lectures and instructional materials in Engineering and Applied Technology subjects.
• Manage and handle digital course content tailored for distance and online learning.
• Provide online student support and mentorship through the university's learning systems.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, practicals, and examinations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital curricula to meet industry and academic standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant field from an accredited university. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited university (considered in special cases).
• Experience: For Master’s degree holders, at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level and evidence of being registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
• Digital Proficiency: Must be computer literate with a proven ability to handle digital content and support students in an online environment.
• Documentation: Ability to provide an updated CV, academic certificates, testimonials, and professional body memberships where applicable.
