Role Overview
The Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for Water systems is responsible for the technical oversight and management of water treatment and distribution facilities. This role ensures that all operations comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards prescribed by US and Host Nation regulations, specifically focusing on the delivery of safe water systems within highly regulated environments.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of Class 3 water treatment and Class 3 distribution systems.
Ensure all water operations adhere to the requirements specified in CNICINST 5090.2.
Manage the Training and Certification Program for Responsible Charge and Assistant Operators, including US and Host Nation (HN) reciprocity.
Demonstrate proficiency in basic verbal and written English for reporting, technical documentation, and cross-functional communication.
Maintain all necessary operator certificates, ensuring they are current and valid according to specific regulatory standards.
Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Certifications: Must meet all education, experience, and training requirements for certification as a NOCA Class 3 Treatment and Class 3 Distribution operator.
Licensing: Possession of a current and valid operator's certificate per CNICINST 5090.2 guidelines.
Language: Basic proficiency in verbal and written English language skills.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with US and Host Nation certification reciprocity programs.
