About the Role
As an NGIS Reservation Agent for Amentum, you will be responsible for managing guest reservations for Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS). Your role is critical in ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and strict compliance with Navy lodging standards. You will be the primary point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the operational flow of the lodging facility.
Key Responsibilities
Reservation Management: Manage guest reservations for NGIS, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Navy lodging standards.
Front Desk Operations: Process check-ins, check-outs, cancellations, modifications, and special requests using approved lodging management systems.
Customer Service: Assist guests with inquiries regarding room availability, policies, amenities, and general information.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate reservation records, occupancy reports, and daily logs in accordance with NGIS procedures.
Coordination: Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure rooms are ready and guest needs are resolved promptly.
Eligibility Verification: Verify the eligibility requirements for military, government, and authorized civilian guests.
Financial Transactions: Handle payments, receipts, and financial transactions following established guidelines.
Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors and Navy leadership concerning guest issues, facility status, and operational updates.
Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in reservations, customer service, hospitality, or lodging operations.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE) is preferred.
Travel Documentation: Must possess a valid passport with at least one year of validity beyond the hire date and be able to travel internationally.
Medical Fitness: Ability to meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of the assignment.
Security: Ability to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials and authorizations.
