Network Administrator

The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the university's network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity across all campus locations. This role oversees the LAN, WAN, and wireless systems, with a specific emphasis on Cisco Meraki cloud-managed solutions.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.\n- Optimize Cisco Meraki network equipment including switches, access points, and security appliances.\n- Implement network security measures including firewalls, VLANs, and access controls.\n- Monitor traffic for security threats and ensure compliance with security policies.\n- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues to staff and students.\n- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network services and support.\n- Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.\n- Generate regular reports on network performance, capacity, and incidents.\n- Supervise and mentor Network Support Specialists and related technical staff.\n- Participate in ICT strategic planning and budgeting processes.\n\n### Qualifications and Requirements\n- Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.\n- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in network administration.\n- MANDATORY Certifications: Cisco CCNA, Meraki Certification (CMNA or CMNO), and CompTIA N+.\n- Advantageous Certifications: CCNP or CompTIA Network+.\n- Proven experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking solutions.\n- Experience managing large-scale enterprise networks.\n- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.\n\n### Technical Skills and Competencies\n- Expert knowledge of Cisco Meraki dashboard and cloud-managed networking.\n- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, and VLANs.\n- Proficiency in network security principles and implementation.\n- Experience with wireless network design and deployment.\n- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.\n- Leadership and team management abilities.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested candidates should apply online via the following link: .
