As a Mud Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting tests to adjust fluid properties, collaborating with the drilling team, managing fluid-related costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities
- Provide onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
- Make sales calls on the field and field office level or accompany Sales Representatives performing the same function.
- Train and direct the work of entry-level engineers.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal, Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
- At least 5 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of Drilling Fluids products and services.
- Ability to identify the proper product and service for simple to complex applications.
- Ability to work within a global matrix organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, and trainings as required.
