The Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK) is inviting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Member of the Audit Committee. This role is crucial for providing independent oversight and strategic advice regarding the Commission's financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management systems.
Responsibilities
Providing independent oversight on the Commission's financial reporting and auditing processes.
Reviewing the effectiveness of the internal control systems and risk management frameworks.
Monitoring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and the organization's policies.
Offering strategic advice to the Commission on governance and accountability matters.
Evaluating the performance and independence of both internal and external audit functions.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this appointment, a candidate must:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree from a university recognized in Kenya.
Be a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and be in good standing.
Have relevant qualifications and expertise in audit, financial management, or accounting, coupled with experience and knowledge in risk management.
Not be a current or former employee or an agent of the Public Service Commission within the last two years.
Have at least ten (10) years of experience at a senior management level within a reputable organization.
Be a person of integrity and demonstrate compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
