Medical Officer Intern - Medicine

The Mater Misericordiae Hospital offers placements for the Medical Officer Intern - Medicine program, which is accredited by the Medical Practitioners & Dentist Board.

This is an intensive, one-year clinical training position designed for newly qualified doctors who have recently completed their medical degree (typically MBChB or equivalent). The primary objective of the internship is to provide essential, hands-on clinical experience necessary to gain professional competence and fulfill the requirements for full registration with the Medical Practitioners & Dentist Board.

The intern will rotate through various clinical departments within the hospital's medicine unit, gaining broad clinical exposure and developing proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management under the supervision of senior medical staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be a newly qualified doctor eligible for the internship year as accredited by the Medical Practitioners & Dentist Board.
• Hold a relevant university qualification, such as an MBChB or equivalent, corresponding to a BA/BSc/HND level education.
• Candidates must be prepared to handle the demands of a rotational internship.
