Murang’a County Government is looking to hire 5 qualified Medical Officers to join their healthcare team.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., ChB.) degree from a university recognized in Kenya.

Have completed a 12-month internship period.

Registered as a Medical Practitioner by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

Valid Practicing License.

Demonstrable skills and experience in various clinical areas with at least three (3) years’ experience.

Acceptable moral and professional standing.

Certificate in computer application skills will be an added advantage.

The Medical Officer shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:

Attending to patients in clerking, diagnoses, management, and follow-up.
Performing medical and surgical procedures.
Responding to emergencies and disasters.
Providing health education.
Maintaining medical records, health information, and data.
Participating in the management of medicines, medical instruments, and equipment.
Counselling patients and relatives on diagnosis and bereavement.
Teaching and coaching medical students, Medical Officer Interns, Nursing students and Interns, Clinical Officer students and interns.
Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
