Matron

Role Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the boarding house and ensure their safety and well-being.
• Administer basic first aid and manage student health needs or medical appointments.
• Maintain discipline and enforce school rules within the dormitory.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to students, acting as a maternal figure.
• Liaise with parents and school management regarding student welfare and health issues.
• Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the student residential areas.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be female.
• Minimum KCSE Grade of C- and above.
• Must be 40 years of age and above.
• Willing and ready to reside within the school premises.
• Must have at least 6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Fundamental training in healthcare is required.
• A certificate or higher in child psychology is an added advantage.
• Previous experience as a school matron or in a boarding school setting is highly preferred.
