Kirinyaga University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Mason / Tiler Grade 5. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking masonry, tiling, plastering, roof repairs, and related maintenance tasks across university facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out masonry and tile repair works in all University buildings
Install and repair burglar-proofing
Lay and joint paving slabs on pathways
Construct masonry walls
Carry out plastering and rendering works
Repair leaking roofs
Fix floor and wall tiles
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
Be a holder of Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in masonry / tiling from NITA or any other recognized institution
Training from National Youth Service (NYS) will be an added advantage
KCSE Certificate
Have profound knowledge and familiarity with relevant tools, masonry techniques, and equipment
Have at least three (3) years experience in a public sector or a University setup
