Manager - Insurance Agency

Reeds Africa Consult (RAC) is seeking a Manager for their Insurance Agency to lead and grow the business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a high-performance distribution team and managing end-to-end agency operations including underwriting and claims management.\n\n### Role Overview\nThe Manager will define roles, refine agency structures, and drive growth through various networks and digital platforms. The role involves strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and partnership management with insurers.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Build and lead a high-performance distribution team.\n- Manage the back-office team, underwriting, claims and customer service.\n- Drive business growth through agency, sub-agent networks and digital platforms.\n- Define roles and refine existing agency structure.\n- Handle regulatory documentation, follow-up, and compliance procedures.\n- Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy.\n- Enhance agency operations, CRM systems, and policies for the agency.\n- Enhance partnerships with insurers.\n- Negotiate products access and commercial terms.\n- Plan 3–5-year business growth strategy.\n- Design and set weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance metrics and reporting structures.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- 5+ years in the insurance sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership or distribution role.\n- BA/BSc/HND qualification.\n- Strong commercial experience in insurance sales or distribution and insurance partnerships.\n- Experience in underwriting, customer servicing and claims management.\n- Proven success in launching new business lines or growing agencies.\n- Current or former experience in insurance agencies, brokerages, bancassurance teams, or Insurtechs.\n- Previous work experience with major insurance companies.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified?
