About the Role
As a Logistics Specialist at Baker Hughes, you will be a key player in ensuring the seamless flow of equipment and services necessary for oilfield operations. You will manage logistics from the point of entry into the country through to the operating base and the final work site, ensuring that drilling and completion activities proceed without delay.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination: Liaise with internal product lines to manage equipment and service deliveries from the country point of entry to the operating base and worksite. This includes managing demobilizations.
Supplier Management: Coordinate with OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) suppliers for the delivery of materials to the worksite.
Accountability: Take responsibility for the on-time delivery of all goods and services while effectively managing costs associated with mobilization.
Operational Oversight: Maintain complete oversight of all logistical deliveries required to carry out drilling and completion work.
Rig Logistics: Liaise with rig contractors regarding rig-related deliveries and rig moves.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Experience: At least 4 years of professional experience in Logistics.
Communication: Must be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Collaboration: A strong team player.
Flexibility: Ability to work during public holidays, weekends, and after office hours when operational requirements demand.
Problem Solving: Ability to work independently, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and identify effective solutions.
Analytical Skills: Proven analytical and organizational ability.
