HealthX Africa is seeking a Locum Clinical Nutritionist to join their team. HealthX Africa makes high quality primary health care and wellness accessible, affordable, convenient, and equal using digital technology. This role involves conducting virtual and physical nutrition assessments and consultations for diverse patient profiles based on HealthX’s established clinical guidelines and SOPs. You will support wellness subscriptions, preventive care programs, and multi-disciplinary coordination in a fast-paced digital health environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Consultations: Conduct daily virtual and physical nutrition assessments on a need basis and consultations for diverse patient profiles using HealthX’s established clinical guidelines and SOPs. Deliver professional care plans, meal plans, and guides for patients.
- Wellness & Subscription Support: Deliver structured lifestyle and dietary counseling for patients enrolled in preventive wellness subscriptions and specialized programs (such as the Metabolic Reset, Chronic Disease Management, and Women's Health packages).
- Care Pathway Execution: Utilize existing adult and pediatric screening tools to accurately risk-stratify patients and seamlessly manage their follow-up care journeys.
- Cross-Departmental Referrals: Manage internal patient referrals from the broader telemedicine team and coordinate care seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary setup.
- EMR Documentation: Maintain precise, high-quality, and timely patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to track clinical outcomes and patient progress.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
- Professional Registration: Must be fully registered and licensed with the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) with a current valid practicing license.
- Experience: 2+ years of active clinical experience. Prior experience in a telehealth, digital health, or fast-paced outpatient wellness setting is a distinct advantage.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and align with pre-established clinical protocols and EMR workflows.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric, empathetic approach to lifestyle counseling.
- Availability: Ready to take up shifts immediately on a locum basis.
