The role of the Legal Administrative Assistant Paralegal is centered on providing administrative and paralegal support, with a strong emphasis on case management, processing medical records, handling billing requests, and ensuring consistent client and provider communication. This role requires extensive use of the RingCentral telephone application and the Casee case management system, along with strong organizational and client service skills.
Key Duties
- Medical Records & Billing Requests: Identify pending requests based on Casee due dates; locate, review, and interpret previously submitted records.
- Provider Communication: Properly identify medical facilities/departments and initiate contact via phone or written correspondence.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately memorialize details of communications with medical providers.
- Follow-Up Scheduling: Determine and set appropriate follow-up dates for pending requests.
- Paralegal Support: Identify scenarios requiring paralegal attention and communicate promptly.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to clients, acting as the first point of contact for questions and case updates.
- Handle a high-volume caseload with efficiency and professionalism.
- Perform administrative tasks, including heavy call volume and maintaining electronic files.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant legal experience.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Medical Records & Billing Requests.
- Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills; comfortable learning new software applications, and experience with RingCentral and Casee case management system is highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accuracy. Excellent communication skills; enjoys speaking with clients and delivering above-and-beyond customer service.
