
National Legal Aid Service
The National Legal Aid Service (NLAS) is a state agency established under the Legal Aid Act 2016 with the mandate to offer legal aid services to the vulnerable, marginalized, and indigent persons in Kenya. NLAS is seeking to recruit qualified and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Legal Aid Clerk II (4 posts).\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n* Filing contracts and court documents.\n* Serving legal documents to clients and other stakeholders.\n* Maintaining an up-to-date court file registry to ensure the safe custody of the files.\n* Responding to inquiries regarding specific cases.\n* Bringing up files to the relevant officer for briefing and action.\n* Preparing accurate quarterly reports on cases where actions have been taken.\n* Receiving, compiling, and organizing information for the preparation of pleadings with necessary annexures.\n* Preparing, certifying, serving, and following up processing of judgments, orders, findings, recommendations, decrees, and warrants.\n* Maintaining and updating the court case diary.\n\n### Remuneration\n* Salary Scale: Ksh. 52,844 x 3,703 – 56,547 x 3,703 – 60,250 x 3,703 – 63,953 x 3,703 – 67,656 x 3,703 – 71,359 x 3,703 – 75,062 x 3,703 – 78,765 p.m.
