Job Description
AIC Kijabe Hospital, a faith-based hospital sponsored by the Africa Inland Church Kenya, has recently been classified as a Level 6B National Tertiary Teaching and Referral Hospital. Established in 1915, the facility currently has a bed capacity of 363 and serves patients from across Kenya and other African countries. We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Lead, Research.
Role Overview
The Lead, Research will be responsible for overseeing clinical research initiatives within the hospital, ensuring that the institution maintains its status as a premier teaching and referral facility through rigorous scientific inquiry and peer-reviewed contributions to the medical field.
Responsibilities
Direct and manage clinical research projects and departments within the hospital.
Ensure all research activities comply with national and international ethical and regulatory standards.
Foster a culture of research and academic excellence among clinical staff.
Lead the publication efforts for research findings in recognized peer-reviewed journals.
Oversee the application and management of research grants and clinical trials.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Medicine or any other related field from a recognized university.
Master's Degree or PhD in the field of Clinical Research or an Associated Degree in a related field from a recognized university.
A minimum of six (6) years of related work experience and clinical research experience.
A demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications.
Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).
Possession of a valid practicing license.
