Kiswahili Textbook Authors

The Ambassade de France en Tanzanie and the Alliance Française de Dar es salaam are seeking passionate authors and educators to create a communicative textbook for foreign learners of Kiswahili.

Responsibilities

Authors will be responsible for the following duties:

• Write simple and engaging Kiswahili lessons designed for adults and/or children.
• Create scripts for accompanying video and audio content.
• Design comprehensive exercises covering speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar, and vocabulary.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure all lessons are clear, consistent, and well-connected.

Qualifications and Requirements

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

• Fluency in Kiswahili.
• Good English communication skills.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Kiswahili (to either children or adults).
• Familiarity with communicative and interactive teaching methods.
• Experience creating educational materials is considered a bonus.
