We are looking for an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team in Nairobi. In this role, you will review and confirm insurance eligibility, educate patients on benefits, and collaborate with billing teams and healthcare providers to ensure accurate coverage information.
Role and Responsibilities
Insurance Verification: Review and confirm patient insurance eligibility and detailed benefit coverage.
Patient Education: Educate patients regarding their benefits and responsibilities to ensure they understand their coverage.
Collaborative Support: Work closely with billing teams and healthcare providers to ensure accurate coverage information is captured and utilized.
Data Management: Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records.
Problem Solving: Resolve insurance-related discrepancies by communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
Working Schedule and Location
Location: Full Onsite – Nairobi, Kenya
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time). Please note this aligns with North American business hours.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience specifically in healthcare insurance.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical terminology, medical coding, and the use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Language: English Level B2 (Fluent) proficiency is required.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to patient support.
