Maseno University is looking to recruit an Instructional Materials Editor. The role involves managing the quality and integrity of academic content produced for its learning programs. This position is responsible for refining instructional materials to ensure they meet high academic standards, are linguistically correct, and comply with institutional and legal guidelines.
Responsibilities
Editorial Quality Control: Edit and proofread instructional materials for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and adherence to academic standards.
Content Alignment: Ensure consistency and alignment of content with course objectives and university guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with faculty and instructional designers to enhance the overall quality and pedagogical effectiveness of learning materials.
Compliance: Review course content for compliance with copyright and plagiarism policies.
Standardization: Maintain editorial standards across all eCampus-produced materials.
Requirements and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Linguistics, Communication, or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least Three (3) years of relevant work experience in an academic or publishing/editing environment.
Skills: Excellent command of the English language and strong editorial skills.
Added Advantage: Familiarity with eLearning instructional design principles.
