This is the entry and training grade for Diploma and Technician Part II certificate holders. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and close supervision of a senior officer. The primary purpose of the role is to support the delivery of agricultural engineering and mechanization services within the county.

Salary Job Group: “Н”
Salary Scale: Kshs. 28,620 - 37,100 per month.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provision of agricultural engineering works and services.
Providing mechanization extension services to farmers and stakeholders.
Assisting in soil and water conservation engineering projects.
Supporting surveying and farm power activities under supervision.
Participating in field training and mechanization initiatives.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A Diploma in a field of Agricultural Engineering such as soil and water, mechanization/farm power, surveying, or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; OR
A Technician Part III Certificate in a field of Agricultural Engineering such as soil and water, mechanization/farm power, structures, surveying, or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
