Job Description
This is the entry and training grade for the Information Communication Technology cadre within the County Government of Kakamega. An officer at this level will be responsible for performing a variety of ICT tasks of limited scope under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. The role involves technical support, system implementation assistance, hardware maintenance, and user training to enhance the county's digital infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Writing and testing simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications.
Assisting in the implementation of the computer systems.
Providing user support and training of users.
Repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment.
Reporting any faults for further action.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Secondary Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) mean grade C (Plain) with a minimum of C+ (Plus) in English or Kiswahili and C (Plain) in any other relevant subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Professional Qualification: Diploma in any of the following: Information Communication Technology, Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, Information Technology, Communication Studies or any other approved equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Employment Details
Basic Salary: Kshs. 26,900 - 35,380 per month.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
