The ICT Officer – Grade NCPD 6 is an entry and training grade for this cadre within the National Council for Population and Development. Working under the guidance of a senior officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and configuration of the organization's ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks. The role also involves website maintenance, helpdesk management, and ensuring data security through routine backups and patch management.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n* Repairing ICT equipment and associated peripherals.\n* Receiving, installing, and configuring new ICT equipment.\n* Performing routine systems, application, and network startup and shutdown procedures and maintaining control of records.\n* Configuring and testing computer hardware and software, including network appliances.\n* Installing server software and upgrading existing servers.\n* Performing routine offsite backups for NCPD critical data testing and drills.\n* Patch management on applications, systems, and appliances.\n* Website design and maintenance.\n* Setup and maintenance of applications including Email, ERP, and database.\n* Managing helpdesk application and generation of quarterly reports.\n* Installing necessary hardware and software upgrades into the ICT network.\n* Documenting and reporting on standards, compliance including ISO, RISK Assessment, and PC.\n* Monitoring network performance.\n* Maintaining support systems and training of users.\n\n### Requirements for Appointment\nFor appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:\n* Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.\n* Proficiency in information communication related fields such as information security, system development, programming, and networking.\n\n### How to Apply\nApplicants who meet the requirements should send their application letter together with a detailed CV indicating three (3) names of references, current position/grade, daytime telephone numbers, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and a copy of National Identity Card/Passport to the NCPD Head office or via email at recruitment@ncpd.go.ke.\n\nPhysical Address:\nThe Director General,\nNational Council for Population and Development,\nChancery Building, 4th Floor,\nP.
