Job Description
I&M Bank is seeking an ICT Governance Officer to support the ICT governance operations and drive the implementation of various controls within ICT geared towards improving the IT risk posture. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness and compliance of the organization’s IT systems and processes, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Compliance: Review and update the IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) repositories.
Control Assessments: Support and document Internal Control self-assessments focusing on risk management practices and regulatory requirements.
Implementation Support: Provide support to IT teams in implementing governance processes and follow up on the implementation of recommended controls.
Risk Management: Identify and report on risks, providing recommendations for improvements for management reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess risks and monitor compliance with access policies.
Standards & Documentation: Document all governance standards, support IT initiatives in aligning to these standards, and provide reports for management decision-making.
Policy Lifecycle: Assist in the management of IT policies, procedures, and processes lifecycle, including testing, attestation, awareness, and enforcement.
Regulatory Updates: Stay up to date on changes to regulatory requirements and industry standards, updating IT governance policies and procedures accordingly.
Operational Governance: Support all governance-mandated responsibilities, including audits, training, and business continuity plans.
Awareness: Ensure all policies and guidelines are socialized to all ICT Team Members.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in IT Service Management.
Certifications and intermediate working knowledge of COBIT or ITIL.
Other governance certifications will be an added advantage.
Basic experience in controls and effectiveness within an ICT environment.
Practical experience in a service delivery environment, including technical and service management exposure.
