HR Coordinator

Role Description

The HR Coordinator will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives, supporting organizational growth, and driving employee engagement and culture initiatives in a clinic or hospital environment. This includes overseeing core HR functions, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Academic & Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (HR option), Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Professional certification and registration with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ progressive HR experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably within healthcare or a regulated environment.
  • Proven experience in core HR functional areas including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance management.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, compliance frameworks, and employment regulations, with demonstrated ability to apply them in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to handle employee relations issues, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence and support both clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), data analysis, and Microsoft Office tools to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Understanding of healthcare-specific HR dynamics including clinical staffing, regulatory requirements, workplace health and safety, and workforce retention challenges.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive employee and organizational information.
