Role Description
The HR Coordinator will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives, supporting organizational growth, and driving employee engagement and culture initiatives in a clinic or hospital environment. This includes overseeing core HR functions, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (HR option), Social Sciences, or a related field.
Professional certification and registration with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ progressive HR experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably within healthcare or a regulated environment.
Proven experience in core HR functional areas including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance management.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, compliance frameworks, and employment regulations, with demonstrated ability to apply them in a healthcare setting.
Ability to handle employee relations issues, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence and support both clinical and non-clinical teams.
Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), data analysis, and Microsoft Office tools to support reporting and decision-making.
Understanding of healthcare-specific HR dynamics including clinical staffing, regulatory requirements, workplace health and safety, and workforce retention challenges.
High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive employee and organizational information.
