Job Description
The Housing Officer II will be responsible for providing technical support in the housing department of Nakuru County. The role involves managing housing data, identifying land for development, and promoting modern building technologies to improve housing supply and infrastructure within the county.
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management: Collect data on housing to update the housing database and determine the levels of demand and supply in the region.
Land Identification: Identify suitable land parcels for future housing development projects.
Technology Dissemination: Disseminate information on appropriate and modern building technologies to various stakeholders under the supervision of a senior officer.
Monitoring and Reporting: Assist in the assessment of housing needs and contribute to the implementation of housing policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Sociology, Community Development, Economics, Construction Management, Statistics, Environmental Studies, Geography, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
Strong analytical and data collection skills.
Knowledge of building and construction trends.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
