Role Overview

The Housekeeping Coordinator (referred to internally as a Runner) plays a critical role in this mission by working across departments to ensure that guests and associates have what they need at the exact moment they need it. Whether delivering items directly to guests in their rooms or providing support to housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, the front office, or other areas, the Housekeeping Coordinator is essential for ensuring smooth operations throughout the entire hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery: Deliver items directly to guests in their rooms and provide operational support to various departments including housekeeping, engineering, and banquets.
Operational Support: Move about the hotel space to ensure all departments have necessary supplies and assistance to function efficiently.
Quality Standards: Uphold high-quality standards in all tasks, ensuring a professional personal appearance and clear communication with guests and colleagues.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and handle all guest information with strict confidentiality.
Physical Tasks: Engage in hands-on work including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 55 pounds. This includes standing, walking for extended periods, and navigating narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
Inspection: Read and visually verify information in various formats and inspect tools, equipment, or machines to ensure they are in proper working order.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a housekeeping role.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a luxury service environment (specifically 4- or 5-Star hotels) is highly desirable.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and stay active on your feet for extended periods.
