The client, a leading EPC company specializing in solar energy projects, is seeking an HSE Officer to ensure the project is executed in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. The role requires proactive enforcement of HSE practices, incident reporting, and promoting a safe work culture on site. This is a project-based role with a duration of more than three (3) months and is not a permanent position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The HSE Officer will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments, safety drills, and toolbox talks.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental laws.
- Investigating accidents, preparing incident reports, and recommending preventive measures.
- Carrying out site inspections to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
- Maintaining accurate HSE documentation and training records.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 or more years of experience in HSE roles or a related field.
- Certification: Certification in HSE/NEBOSH/OSHA is an added advantage.
- Added Advantage: Experience with constructions projects or related will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ISO standards and safety management systems.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, reporting, and organizational skills.
