Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor
KEDA Tanzania is a leading manufacturing company seeking a highly qualified and experienced HSE Supervisor to join our team at the Mkuranga factory. We are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and managing all on-site Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. Core duties include:
- Policy Enforcement: Strictly enforce company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental policies across the factory site.
- Risk Management: Proactively conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Incident Management: Lead and document incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Training & Compliance: Develop and deliver safety training for all staff and ensure strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.
- Regulatory Reporting: Maintain robust support for local and international regulatory compliance, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and NEMC (National Environmental Management Council), including accurate reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Certification (Advantageous): Certification from recognized bodies such as OSHA or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) is a significant advantage.
- Core Competencies: Strong working knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations, coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills.
