Job Description
Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is seeking a Head of Human Resource Talent Development to coordinate talent development initiatives across the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing employee, leadership, and organizational development strategies to enhance institutional effectiveness and employee engagement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Development: Participate in the design and implementation of employee, leadership, and organizational development initiatives, including manpower planning, performance management, and succession planning.
Training & Learning: Develop training programs and processes to address University needs and evaluate the effectiveness of all learning and development activities.
Capability Assessment: Review University-wide emerging capability gaps and devise strategies to address medium to long-term skill requirements.
Organizational Design: Provide guidance on appropriate organizational structures to maximize effectiveness. Define roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities, and perform job evaluations and grading studies.
Culture & Engagement: Establish and maintain an organizational culture that enhances employee engagement and productivity. Conduct workforce and employee exit studies to inform wellness and culture strategies.
Performance Management: Support University-wide performance management implementation, assisting line managers in cascading performance contracts and developing KPIs.
Workforce Analytics: Utilize analytics to drive change and inform HR decisions and policy-making.
Succession Planning: Develop and maintain a fit-for-future succession pool for the University.
Academic and Professional Requirements
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Relevant professional qualification.
Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., IHRM).
Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience.
