Role Overview
The Graduate People & Culture Intern will support various Human Resources functions within World Vision Kenya, including statutory compliance management, onboarding and offboarding processes, national staff benefits administration, recruitment support, record keeping, and staff correspondence.
Major Responsibilities
Statutory Management Support
Ensure the remittance of NHIF, NSSF, NITA, HELB, and other staff contributions are made to the relevant authorities.
Ensure statutory files are updated with remittance advices or any other proof of remittance.
Onboarding and Staff Exits Management
Collaborate with HR and department heads to prepare orientation schedules for new staff members.
Track the onboarding process to ensure it is done to completion.
Track clearance process for exiting staff.
Administer and Support National Staff Benefits Scheme
Assist with timely member enrolment and deletion processes.
Provide support in liaising with the underwriter/broker for staff reimbursements.
Support member education sessions.
Support filing and updating staff records with scheme membership documents.
Assist with maintenance of scheme members lists.
Staff Recruitment Support
Work closely with the recruiting point person to:
Open positions and advertise.
Provide interview planning support.
Schedule and support interview invitations.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all recruitment documents.
Support background & reference checks.
Record Keeping
Help maintain staff records in both physical and digital formats.
Ensure staff files are organized and complete in accordance with audit requirements.
Ensure all statutory documents/policies are signed and in staff files.
Staff Correspondence Support
Support processing staff travel letter requests with full compliance and approval from relevant authorities.
Support processing staff requests for banks and financial institutions in compliance with MOUs.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all correspondence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field obtained within the last 1–2 years from a recognized university.
Registration with IHRM.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident, articulate, detail-oriented, and organized.
Strong Christian values and alignment with child safeguarding standards.
